John Owens joined AIFP in 2011 as a logistics coordinator and later moved into the role of the Trucking Department Head. Using his past knowledge and expertise in transportation within the lumber industry, John helped build AIFP's transportation program to what it is today. A program focused on turning relationships into partnerships. He enjoys being able to connect with the team and our partners in transportation on a daily basis and the challenges of the fast paced environment that the lumber industry brings. John is always finding a way to bring a solution to any situation in a fair and respectable way. When he is not in the office you can always find him doing anything to keep himself busy, whether that be being involved in his kids' sports or events, doing things around the house, spending time with family or hanging out with his dog. He also loves traveling to Disneyland as well as Hawaii when he gets the chance.
